Classroom

Whole School Reimagining Student Project.

Given how much time students spend at school and in their classrooms, it's almost like a home away from home. Matong Public School is committed to designing a learning environment that is comfortable, inspiring, and promotes learning.

In term 4, 2014 the whole school student body began managing this project, involving consultation with the whole school community in redesigning our learning spaces. Below are some links to show what this could look like.

Progress Report

With the help of the P&C, Stage 1 moved across to their new room and the library was moved into the new stage 2/3 room in the final weeks of Term 4, 2014.

Term 1, 2015, our students have settled into their new learning spaces creating lots of comfortable learning nooks with the addition of cushions and low tables. Once the builder removes the internal wall in the stage 2/3 room, we will commence the final renovations in both rooms.
